I do recall DPM saying that when Trains Magazine was launched in 1940, Hubbard wished them success. Likewise, when Railfan was launched in 1975 , DPM wrote them, expressing the same.
Hubbard also wrote "Dining Car Blues" in the September 1951 issue. And had a Trains Turntable opinion piece, "The great days of railroading" in the March 1972 Trains.

Yes, there is a short "Interchange" story about Freeman H. Hubbard on page 58 of the same issue stating that he has been the editor of Railroad magazine for 15 years.
