Yes yes! The Chaleur was a 'sexy' train. Bring it back! It's Quebec, heck they get everything don't they?
Vancouver Island screams for that Royal Hudson or a nice Pacific running one end to the other. Get 'er done.
But still no Chaleur. The whole route can't be that good.
I wonder if VIA will ever return to that route, or Vancouver Island.

Yeah, ..the roadbed looks top notch.
Good to see that the Gaspe line is hauling at least some freight again!
Montreal Locomotive Works/Alco RS units, 1958, 60+ years old now, hauling windmill blades. Now wind turbines are considered new technology but wind power has been around for centuries. Also I'm sure the RS-18's have digital upgrades not known in 1958.
Not sure anyone in 1958 would quite understand what they are hauling here, but they might recognize the Diesels.
So is this the new and the old, the old and the new, the old and the old or the new and the new?
Nice picture anyways.
SFG 1819 leads two other RS-18's with a train of windmill blades. Ex NBEC 1819 ex CP 1819 RS-18 nee 8768. RS-18-3 MLW 82449 4/1958 Carleton-sur-Mer, QC. October 8, 2017
