New York Central Passenger Service
Posted by 081552 on Monday, December 27, 2004 7:29 PM
I met a man today named James Hawthorne in Southern California who said he was a V.P.-Passenger Service for the NYC in the mid fifties. Can anyone tell me if this is correct?

Thanks

I have a January 1953 issue of the Official Guide of the Railways which lists officials of the NYC Operating, Freight Traffic and Passenger Traffic departments of the railroad as of that date. I find no listing of anyone with the last name of Hawthorne therein--at any position title in any of those departments.

Can't speak to any other date, however.
