I just purchased the new "HOT SPOTS" guide from Kalmbach, nowhere is any mention of Cumberland or Sand Patch.
Even though Hunter Harrison did a number on CSX operations there, the place isn't deadsville.
Maybe the TRAINS staff is trying to forget that they backed the wrong horse in the 1309 debacle, or they really have no clue as to its history and importance.

I think B&O fans would agree that Sand Patch is a "Hallowed spot", no matter what dysfunctional railroad owns it...
