Night Train must have made a station stop when they filmed the scene - no vibratory motion in the liquids that were on the table.
Never too old to have a happy childhood!
Just like in recent days gone bye when a person would eagerly wait for the mail...a cheque arriving, a parcel, an important letter, now I look forward to "sometime after a holiday period, or weekend" ...perhaps later in the day or tomorrow , to search back and discover what Wanswheel/Mike has posted.
The Venetian Blinds was priceless, ..obviously not in motion, but set on a static set. But they could have inserted moving scenery out the window. This perhaps would distract from the Stars!
rcdrye-- The '74-'79 resurrection of the Club Car on the Montrealer, complete with smoke, is something I did not know about and so sad I missed out on a ride in that one. Heartening to hear some original equipment is preserved.
"Le Pub" cars, introduced in 1974 and used until HEP around 1979, recreated the pre-1950s atmosphere on the Montrealer. Rebuilt from Korean-war-era US Army Hospital cars, they had a piano and extra ventilation - still not enough to keep them from filling with smoke. Later Amfleet lounges just weren't quite the sme.
Dover Harbor and Pine Tree State, two buffet sleepers from different generations, both survive today long after their service in the Montrealer's pool.

Great scenery, moonlight on the snow and all.

pajrr, thanks for that picture.
I remember seeing it when I was young enough to still be concerned about Santa Claus. Dad must have had a brochure or poster or something with that on it around the station back then.

Just finished watching 'White Christmas' (1954) and there is Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Vera-Ellen and Rosemary Clooney, all four, singing 'Snow', a great Christmas tune, and all set in the Club Car on the night train to Vermont.
