Would anyone like to take their current income and go back in time to an era such as this?

Considering that the year is 1936 and Blind River is somewhere east of Sault Sainte Marie, I would guess that the position might be for a housekeeper or secretary/office assistant.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

$720 per year?

I guess that was pretty good, a new car went for $600 in 1936.

I wonder what the position was?

I love old documents like this. Great item! I have a pay scale from the Erie RR from 1937. A passenger engineer made about $7 a day for his efforts.

Good news for Christmas. An offer of employment.

$720 per year. Starts Jan 4th.

Wonder how life went for Miss Pauline Duffy.
