Daniel, the MP/T&P Eagles rolled behind steam for awhile, one of the few streamliners to do so. I have one of the brass 4-8-2's that pulled it. For awhile they were painted to match the train. I have a gorgeous model of engine 906 in the regular blue-green russian iron paint.
Alas the cars are pretty much only available in brass...maybe someday i can go there.

Yes, I know. That´s why they the steamers which pulled the Eagle were painted into the Eagle scheme to match, and I think that a streamliner train pulled by steam which is painted to match simply looks great. The regular blue-green boiler and cylinder jackets with red cab roofs also look great and more colorful than on most other roads. As far as I know only Hallmark has produced a T&P Eagle. Walthers wanted to produce a MP Eagle but it was cancelled due to too little preorders.
