I no longer purchase any specials or annuals such as Great Model Railroads because I cannot find the contents of any of the magazines listed on any of the Kalmbach sites.  I will not purchase any item anywhere sight unseen unless it comes with a full money back guarentee including postage!.  Ditto with product reviews.  Publishers and manufacturers advertise in Kalmbach publications and requiring a prepaid subscription before one can read any review is poor marketing stragedy in the 21st Century.  This is not the way to attact new readers or modelers to the hobby especially the younger generation who can obtain the information and reviews on all the latest high tech toys without cost from many sources.  No wonder our youth regard trains and model railroading as dead and invest their money elsewhere!  The publishers and manufactures are the big loosers since a good % of their products aren't being properly promoted by Kalmbach despite the $$$ they spend for advertising.

Trains Magazine release 'Colorado Railroads' mobile app
Posted by Brian Schmidt on Monday, July 11, 2016 2:39 PM

Trains Magazine now has an app for that! The new "Colorado Railroads" mobile app offers more than 260 railroad locations to explore, from preservation railways to mainline freight carriers to passenger trains. You’ll learn where to find more than 80 operating and display steam locomotives. It also includes commuter train stops, historic buildings, and trails that keep alive the memory of historic railroads. Available for both Android and Apple mobile operating systems.
