Restoration of meaningful rail passenger service between Cleveland and Chicago instead of the middle-of-the-night stuff we have endured for 44 years.

What a market this was into the 1960s, and at 342 miles could be again. If ex-NYC is too busy, run it on the NKP!

In addition to that for Ohio my wish is a Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati corridor service.  The K4 up and running.

The revival to come of the Big Boy and the real revival of 611 shows that seemingly impossible dreams can come true.  So maybe the K4 will run again maybe we will see a new T-1.  I will list some of my dreams, and hope you can add many of yours.

First, I'd like to see problems with existing railroads solved.  Chicago's CREATE completed, new Hudson tunnels and the existing ones and the East River tunnels overhauled, the flyovers east of New Rochelle I've suggested to ease Shell interlocking's problems, LIRR service to Riverdale to minimize confusion while giving Hudson riders West Side Access, through subway service via the Wiilliamsburg Bridge to Kennedy with articulated cars compatible with Air Train, thru New Haven - NJT suburban service, North and South Station Boston connected, and heritage streetcar lines for Manhattan's Broadway and for Coney Island's Surf Avenue.

But one big dream is to see Penn Station rebuilt.  Chama and Duranngo reconnected.  A full restoration of a California Zephyr doing for the USA basically what the Canadian does for Canada.  A GG-1 restored to operation, with rectifier-dc use of existing motors and drive, but modern control and electics otherwise.  The Arborway line restored from Heath Street in Boston.  Detroit's Michigan Central Station put to good use overall with a transportation function as well.  Definitely the E and F in San Francisco extended to Fort Mason, and the California cable restored to its original length.  Streetcars on Geary, MUNI's original streetcar line.  Sure, two Canadian transcontinentals with at least weekly service on the CP route.

Some of the above are doable and may indeed occur, even in the works.  Other, well one can dream.
