I am looking for photos and related info anyone may have about the Bloomington Illinois train depot from 1945 to 1970. I'm specifically interested in it's location as well as any GM&O pics/timetables etc.
I suggest you contact either the GMO Historical Society or the county historical society in the county that Bloomington, Il is in. Some times the state historical society will have those also. A 1948 Official Guide shows that Bloomington was served by a number railroads, most having their own depots.

Brad,
I don't know what you've found since this post went cold but 1st locate on Google Earth where the shops once stood. The turntable pit is full of trees. Just to the right (east) is the GM&O main. Follow this south. Where an East -West line crosses is where the station was. The East west line was the Peoria and Eastern. The station was about where the top of the backwards s of what looks like a bike path is. There are trees now where the boarding took place. There is a single tree on my view of google earth where the station used to be.
The Peoria and Eastern yahoo group may have some pictures. You may find ebay useful also. I remember the shops from when I was little when we sometimes went to Bloomington. I can't remember the station. Hope this helps a little.

Modeling in N scale: Rock Island freight and passenger, with a touch of the following; Wabash Cannon Ball, CB&Q passenger, and ATSF freight and passenger. I played in Peoria (Heights).
Sorry to be so late but I just found the following site which shows a nice color of the Bloomington depot. http://www.railarchive.net/gmogallery/
