Seven Minute Wabash Video Viewable Online
Posted by wabash2800 on Sunday, December 14, 2014 2:25 PM
I just posted a 7 minute video on my website made from 8mm home movies form the 50s taken on the Wabash Fourth District. Folks that have purchased my "Railroading on the Wabash Fourth District" Book and subscribers here should enjoy viewing it. It's part of a longer version my friend Larry Lett made that is available for the Wabash Railroad Historical Society. (We kept the copyrights.) The "Gary Local" mixed train is prominent with its heavyweight combine. There are also some flying "switch maneuvers", a section gang, freights with F7s, handing up train orders plus steam footage at the end (with a meet and a work train). Yes, it's amateur with no sound, but it's in color and priceless, IMHO. Just go to my website at www.erstwhilepublications.com and click on the video button on the home page. Enjoy and Seasons Greetings Victor A. Baird Classic Trains Subscriber Erstwhile Publications Fort Wayne, Indiana

To see the video go to www.erstwhilepublications.com and click on the video button. The link is buried in the first post apparently because the Classic Trains forum format will not hyperlink like the other forums do. Let's hope this is not a sign of change to other forums at Kalmbach.
