I have done alot of reading on history of Missouri Pacific psgr service in KS. The final Mop varnish in the Sunflower state was 11/12 the St.louis-Denver colorado Eagle which was abolished in April 66. This train had a section which operated as 411/412 between Geneseo-Wichita that was an overnight operation both directions. This local operated with a lone eng and two/three cars. Up till 1962 a Wichita-Denver Pullman was in the consist. 411/412 was abolished Jan 65. Many publications on the history of Mop varnish cover this lillte train. Does anyone out there have their own memories of the Colorado Eagle? i have always have had an interest in the Mop in KS.
