Classic Trains continues to miss it's own train.  It should contain no less than 100 pages per issue.  I will gladly pay the additional adjusted cover price for 100 pagers!!!  Fallen Flags should become four to six pages in artical form and be moved to the rear section of the magazine and also include a centerfold photo of the railroad being presented!

I am also disappointed that Kalmbach discontinued Trains Illustrated magazine.  If lack of readership and circulation was the problem they should have asked all loyal readers what they wanted to see to improve the content of the magazine but I was more than satisfied with the overall layout like it was.

Classic Trains should issue a Fallen Flags Annual as a 100 pager and I'm sure it would sell out before the ink dries on the printed pages and most certainly wouldn't gather any dust on the newsstand and hobbyshop shelves! 

In light of all the malarky going on within the New England railroad scene today, it is high time to bring back the BAR name and old fashioned down home dedicated rail service like it provided the shippers on the line for so many years.  A new railroad with a fancy name isn't needed but a new BAR is!  With so many regional and shortline railroads in the US gaining back lost business on the rails, a new organized BAR with Old New England Tradition will not only gain new shippers but old friends will return as well and perhaps even see track being relaid that has been abandoned!

Still missing Bangor and Aroostook railroad in the Fallen Flags.. The MAINE supplier of BL-2's and Steamtowns F3's . Do I need to do the write up?? I can....
