You might obtain additional information on the Missouri Pacific Historical Society site at www.mopac.org however they are currently upgrading their site so all information isn't available at the moment.
T&P No's 7 & 8, the Westerner ran to El Paso at least until 1954 and probably for a few years longer. In addition to reclining seat coaches, the June 1954 OG shows the following cars running to or through El Paso.

I know definitely that some heavyweight coaches and sleepers and maybe a diner and lounge car or two got painted into the blule and white lightweight car color scheme. I remember seeing such cars, but lack knowledge about specific heavyweight trains. Don't remember any headend heavyweight equipment being repainted.

I am searching for some special information. I know that the MP/T&P Eagle was the premier train on T&P´s Dalls to El Paso route when introduced in 1948. But what about the other passenger trains on that route in the post 1948 era? Have there been any secondary T&P heavyweight passenger trains too? Or was the streamlined Eagle the only service between these two cities? I would very interested to know if there were any secondary heavyweight trains on that route left after 1948, and even more I would be interested in knowing their names and maybe also having some consist info. I would like to model a T&P long distance heavyweight train on that route including heavyweight coaches, sleepers, diner and baggage, but I´m not sure if that would be prototypical because I don´t have any informations. (I know that the Sunshine Special continued to operate as a secondary heavyweight train after for some time after 1948, but that was not on the Dallas to El Paso routing.) Also it would be interesting to know if the T&P heavyweights stayed olive/pullman green after 1948 or if they have also been painted into the blue and white Egale scheme, so I would know how to paint my cars.
