ALL:
This post concerns the railroad station in El Paso, Texas.
The August 1948 OG shows one station serving the Mexican North West, the National of Mexico, the Panhandle and Santa Fe (ATSF), the SP (including TNO) and Texas and Pacific.
Who owned the depot or was it a union depot company?
Regarding the SP proper trains, did the El Paso crews work northeastward on the "Golden State" route to Carrizozo or Tucumcari? How far west did the El Paso crews work?
Thank you,
Ed Burns

Ed, the station was owned by the Union Depot Corp. from the time it opened in 1906 until it was sold to the City of El Paso in the mid-1970's. Golden State Route passenger train crews worked from El Paso to Tucumcari and westward from El Paso to Tucson.

Thank you!!!
If you have any questions about Minneapolis/St. Paul just phone or e-mail me. I was Roadmaster's Clerk for about five years.
Just think--I got paid to watch passenger and freight trains!
