Perhaps contact the North American Railcar Operators Association. The group has a web site.

There is an organization of folks who own and operate restored speeders. I don't know the name, but I suspect a websearch on "Fairmont Speeder" or "Fairmont Speeder Collector" would come up with some information. It could be someone familiar with Fairmont's history could tell what kind of speeder it is just by looking at it.
p.s. they were made in my home state, in Fairmont, Minnesota.
I have a Fairmont M19 with no I.D.plate. It is a steel "War Car". The Fairmont ODB engine has only 4 digits in its serial # 6537. It should have 5. .How can one find out the cars S.N with all this insufficient information? The Martin County Historical Society is pretty much stymied. Supposedly it was owned by the New York Central Railroad. .Any Ideas????.
