The C and NW also ran seasonal trains Green Bay to Ashland up to the the holidays(Christmas) of 1970.

The C&NW operated several intercity passenger trains after the Twin Cities and Minnesota 400's were discontinued in the summer of 1963.They ran at least 9 trains between Chicago and Milwaukee and also had service to Green Bay and two trains to the UP of Michigan.They also ran the Kate Shelley 400 between Chicago and Clinton Iowa,although the name may have been dropped.They was also a train from Chicago to Madison Wisconsin.
No C&NW routes were part of Amtrak's original system. Some of their equipment went to Amtrak, that's all.

After the "Twin Cities 400" was discontinued, what C&NW passenger trains (besides the commuter trains) remained and what were their routes?
I do know that the C&NW joined Amtrak in part to rid themselves of all passenger service, except the commuter runs.
As information, I rode the last eastbound 400 to Wyeville (I believe) and the last westbound 400 back to Minneapolis. Steve Timbers was the conductor. Their green and yellow trains were colorful.
