Does anyone have any information on the 11 ex-troop kitchen cars that were made into Express cars on the DL&W?
Norman
Even Tabers' book, DL&W in the 20th Century, Vol II might be of help. Under non revenue equipment there are "kitchen cars" and a bunk car but a quick thumb through could not ascertain if they were the converted Express cars you are referring to.

Thanks for your help.
For some reason I have it that they were 2111-2121 as express cars and survived as EL 89-99.
The trouble is, I don't know from where I got that information, since it has been so long or if it is at all accurate.
Also, any info on 2077 and 2101, as to what type of car they were?

I googled "DL&W express cars 2111-2121" and got this: THIS, so the numbers appear to be accurate.
