It's ALWAYS that case..    One of those "laws", like the bolt or tool rolling under and to the direct center of the car you are working on.

That's the one! Thanks a lot! I had pulled this issue out and put it with some stuff I had on the GG1 so it was not with the rest of my issues.

Took some doing,Paul, but I found it.  Summer 2009 issue.   William L. Gwyer photo -  Bottom half of Page 86.    The article is titled "End of an Era".

Hi all,

 

New here but long time Classic Trains reader.

I am trying to find a pic that was in one of the issues and the index and looking in many. many back issues has not turned it up, maybe someone can remember the issue it was in.

It is a shot of the 20th Century with and E8 on the point, taken at sunset in B&W.

The brief article that accompanied it was something about how this photo was the last RR pic the photographer shot, something like:  ".....was to be my last" was the title.
