There is a planned article for the PRRT&HS Keystone on the near future. When published it will be available on the society web page.

The "South Wind" was a through Chicago-Florida train in which all equipment was pooled.  PRR/PC and ACL/SCL provided the motive power and I can remember seeing cars from PRR/PC, L&N and ACL/SCL all in the same consist.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

I have a Penn Central timetable from October 1968 that shows through sleeping cars (3) between Chicago and Florida. Were these pool cars or were they all provided by the PC?

Thanks
