Can anyone recomment a source that will tell me about all train rides available this year ?
(Not Amtrak, not amusemrnt park rides, preferbly steam)

Keep tabs in the Trains, Classic Trains, etc. classifieds....check the tourst train guide....google train rides...check NRHS, R&LHS, and specific railroad historical societies, check UP, NS, CSX and other railroad web pages, check your local rail society and other fans, check by your local hobby shop. If nothing in any of those places, then check back here.
