See Trains, Dec 1984, pg 34.  Thee PRR T1 is peculiar looking because of the long front "porch" with the pumps, aftercooler and air reservoir. It's not nearly as conventional/normal as the Emerson

There are many others covered in this article such as the Milw 4-4-2, PRR S1, C&NW and MILW 4-6-4's....  Would Trains allow posting of a scan (since this is the magazine's forum)?

A lot like B&O 5600, I'd expect...

Only longer to account for the different cylinder layout.

If it were not streamlined a T1 would probably look like a PRR Q2 as they operated late in life.

I truly think the Pennsy T1 Duplex is one of the most intriguing locomotives ever made. It would REALLY be interesting to see what the loco looked like before all the streamlining was applied. Does anyone know of any accessible photos of this locomotive in various stages of it's construction? I'll bet it was an ODD looking contraption without it's clothes on!
