 Thanks for your replies. I was hoping for something along the lines of what people get for their junk on the "Antiques Road Show". Their response is usually a variation on the theme "Wow!"

Probably sentimental value only.  NYC was merged into PRR to form Penn Central Co., which in turn filed for bankruptcy in 1969.  I'm not sure how the re-organization played out.

The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

Probably more sentimental value, they are frequently posted on E-Bay and can be found at train memorabilia shows.  Cost is generally around six dollars.

 The railroad gave these 2 shares to my father the other day. (1930) My wife just had it framed to hang on the wall of the train room. Are they worth anything? Other than sentimental value?
