Note the scheme was applied to some NYNH&H cars as well, the same scheme but different reporting marks and road name.
Funny, I thoght this might be a question on the "State of Maine" passenger train, and planned on providing the information that there was no paint scheme for this train. It used cars from the NYNH&H, B&M, and MC. and whatever color scheme those cars usually had was what was on this passenger train. During WWII this meant Pullman green for the sleepers, Hunter green for the NYNH&H coaches, and mixed red and green for both B&M and MC cars, more red for the former, and more green for the latter.
