Erie-Lackawanna Caboose Question
Posted by pajrr on Thursday, February 25, 2010 4:07 AM

Hi! I have a question concerning Erie - Lackawanna cabooses. Did E-L ever own any extended vision (a.k.a. wide cupola) cabooses? I know they had regular cupola models as well as bay window styles. If E-L did own EV cabooses, were they built new for the railroad or did they already exist on Erie or DL&W rosters? Thanks for any help anyone can provide me.

If Extended View cabooses are those with wide coupula, then, no.  Erie did have bay window cabooses which were continued on EL.  DL&W never had bay windows as far as I remember.
