In search of steam Vol.II 1954 - 1955

I went to my favorite news vendors shop today hoping that my copy of Classic Trains had arrived - it is always around a month after release in the US.  It hadn't.

But imagine my joy when I spotted a copy of 'In search of steam Vol.II' on the shelf.  I hadn't expected this booklet to be available in the UK and had considered ordering a copy fro Waukesha.  I have some great bedtime reading to look forward to. Thumbs Up

 Hi Crandell,

I found the TVA article interesting reading and those on shortlines very informative.  My garden railroad (American rolling stock) is, I guess, a shortline.  The M&NF article shows that not all shortlines were run down and decrepit.  Laugh
