WELLSVILLE, ADDISON, AND GALETON...the real meaning of "WAG"!
Posted by henry6 on Saturday, March 28, 2009 6:20 PM

Talked about the WAG somewhere around these here forums, so thought this might be of interest.

In response to all the positive feedback from the original WAG CONFERENCE of 2005 from
the many B&S, B&O, WA&G railroad fans, from all over the nation, and parts of the world, and
the continued requests these several years later to, " Do it again ! ",
Piney Creek Model Works, one more time proudly announces,

 ########################################################################

                                      WAG CONFERENCE II  2009

                                                Honoring the

                               Wellsville Addison & Galeton Railroad

the Buffalo & Susquehanna and Baltimore & Ohio railroads
that preceded on the rails of the WAG,
and it's acquisition, the C&PA railroad,
the men and women that worked on these railroads,
                                                 and YOU,
the railroad historians, railfans, modelers and train simulator programmers,
that continue to give their interest in life's time, to the preservation of keeping the iron alive,
                                                   in this
                                     the 30th Anniversary year of
                                       the WAG's abandonment

 #######################################################################

The contract is in hand and the dates are set for August 15th, & 16th, Saturday and Sunday,
in the logical location these railroads should be honored, Galeton, Pa.

With the success of operations of the 2005 program, I plan to keep the format of the 2009
presentation, along same lines.

I'm working on the program and events development, and events, as this release is being sent
out, and this years event will delve heavily on remembering the wonderful past, but still keep in
touch with the future.
Several new surprises to this year's program, promises to deliver the enjoyment that the
attendees of the 2005 WAG conference experienced.

Please feel free to pass this information on to other railroad clubs and groups, so all interested
gets the opportunity to know of the program, and the dates.

I will post again when the program framework, admission, terms, food and events, is developed.

I have set up the email site WAGconf09@email.com for questions, suggestions, etc... exclusively
pertaining  to WAG Conference II  2009.  Please, feel free to use it.

All I can think of now.  Thank you, and hope to see you there.
