Most of the movie was shot at Greenfield, Iowa with the church scenes at one of the smaller towns west of there.  The railroad was the CB&Q/BN branch out of Creston.

The depot was still standing a few years ago.  All the windows were broken out, but otherwise looked to be in fairly good condition.  It sits/sat on the south edge of town.

They had a reunion of the cast at Greenfield for the 25th anniversary of it being filmed a few years ago.

I was watching the movie Cold Turkey and noticed a number of scenes the were filmed near a deopt . Does anyone know where this was filmed and what railroad is shown?  By the looks of the depot it almost looks like an Milkwaukee aor CNW design.    Larry
