Google Sperry Rail Service.  They should have a web site..Located in Danbiury, CT. Used to have motor cars..converted Brills, etc. but never Budd...now mostly done with trucks. NS is using one on the Southern Tier Line working west from Bingahmton Wed 1/20, Johnson City 1/21, Owego 1/22.  It looks like an 18 or 20 foot box on a F350 or something similar.

RIDEWITHMEHENRY is the name for our almost monthly day of riding trains and transit in either the NYCity or Philadelphia areas including all commuter lines, Amtrak, subways, light rail and trolleys, bus and ferries when warranted. No fees, just let us know you want to join the ride and pay your fares. Ask to be on our email list or find us on FB as RIDEWITHMEHENRY (all caps) to get descriptions of each outing.

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

I am very new to this forum and to train culture. I am doing research for my dissertation, which is in English literature, and am wondering if anyone can point me to books and/or information on the Sperry Car, its history, especially in the time following WWI. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, brian
