I would like to build a model railroad of the Rock Island east-west line in Oklahoma between Oklahoma City and El Reno in the 50's. could anyone tell me what trains ran on this line and in what order ( time of day ) I know there was the Chowtaw Rocket and a conecting train to the Twin Star Rocket at El Reno but that is all I know. Thanks !!!

You should get a copy of Steve Allen Goen's DOWN SOUTH ON THE ROCK ISLAND, published by Four Ways West. It contains a wealth of information on Rock Island passenger service in OK and TX.

Also try Route of the Rockets by Greg Stout. The trains that ran on this line depended on the year, and they changed often.
