B&O 2-8-8-4 in Cumberland shop 1959

Visiting there in July 1959, I was given a tour through the backshop.  Inside, completely disassembled was an EM-1.  The guide, a foreman if I recall, mentioned that it's rebuilding had been suspended (B&O was dieselized by now) and that a local artist made several visits to make sketches of the various sub-assemblies scattered about.  Does anyone out there possibly know what engine number this was?

I have no idea what locomotive it was; however I wonder if the artist might have been Charles Amos, who would have been around 28 years old then.  He has close ties to the Cumberland Shop; and the CSXT locomotive service center in Cumberland is named in his honor.
