The engine in this spectacular wreck in Paris Montmartre is the 120 Ouest # 721.
120 is the French way to indicate a 2-4-0 engine, et Ouest was one of the private railroads companies in France, This company few years later went bankrupt and became Reseau de l'Etat, the first piece of the government-owned railroads that later became SNCF after taking over the other private companies (PLM, PO-MIDI, EST, AL, NORD).

If I remember my French classes from 30 years ago, OUEST = "West", EST = "East" and NORD = "North".
