Looking for a MILW book
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, February 14, 2008 9:32 PM

I'm interested in the MILW operations in Wisconsin, particularly in the areas of Oshkosh, Ripon, Horicon, Markesan, and down towards Madison and Janesville.  Might anyone know of a book (with lots of photos) that covers that general area of MILW operations?  I know there must be several different books on the subject.

Any ideas are welcome...

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

Not sure if it's still in print but you might be able to find "Milwaukee Road: Lines East" which was written by (IIRC) Patrick Dorin. It was released in the seventies and reissued in the nineties.

Your better bet might be back issues of the Milwaukee Road historical society magazine
