There is a book called Grand Central Station. It came out about the same time as The Late Great Penn Station. I think they came out in the 1990's

I figured it was an oversight, DS[:)] Thx just the same. CSS, I appreciate the information about the article as well. Still searching for a book devoted solely to Grand Central...something akin to coverage of the late Pennsylvania Station.

George W Hilton wrote an article for TRAINS around 1969 or 1970 about Chicago Grand Central just prior to its closing. It was the only station to be closed prior to Amtrak as part of Chicago's long-standing attempt to consolidate stations. The "Capitol Ltd" and a "Pere Marquette" were the last remaining trains and they moved to North Western Station.
The daily commute is part of everyday life but I get two rides a day out of it. Paul

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

I have the Spring 2000 issue of Classic Trains (on the Bumping Post page), Chicago's GCS is remembered. My question is whether or not there are any published works on Grand Central Station in print, as I would like to have a copy to learn more about this now destroyed gem. Any information would be most appreciated.
