If I understand what you mean by lockons, they'r devices that the DS slips over the switch handles to clear signals in a stretch of track that he's given somebody (track gang, local, switcher, etc,) a time limit for the use of the stretch of track so he doesn't inadvertently clear a signal before the time limit is up.
