Gotta go with John and the Pennsy M-1s.
And (guilty pleasure) the same railroad's T-1s.
Also like the N & W Js and the Espee GS-4s for the combination of design features and color.
The B & O EM-1s.
Any Mogul.
Most of the later Beyer-Garratts. (And the Algerian greyhound Garratts.)
