Lisa takes a Fall Foliage shot as she begins to pass over Wolf Creek on the Lobato Trestle.
Now over the center of Lobato Trestle Lisa get a shot of Wolf Creek 100 FT above below.
Another Fall Foliage shot as the front of the train completes it's passing over Lobato Trestle.
We complete the transit over Lobato Trestle and the two engines hook back up. The Cinders and Smoke blot out the sun as they start pulling the weight of the train again.
Looking back from the open Gondola Car at Lobato Trestle we see Motor Car #101 with Motor Trailer #208T in tow. They trail right behind us the whole way; ready to put out any fire that might be started by the train.
Now under full steam, Double Header #484 & #488 spray water over the dry grasses as we pull away from Lobato Trestle.
Motor Car #101 (Fairmont A6) with Motor Trailer #208T continues to be right behind us.
We now cross out of New Mexico and into Colorado. This will be the first of 11 stateline crossing.
Here we pass one of several Phone Booths that once lined the D&RGW route
Shortly after you cross into Colorado you approach Cresco Siding.
At Cresco Siding one will also find the Cresco Tank.
We continue North with both #484 & #488 both working hard
We pass another Phone Booth...
That's Windy Point in the distance and many of Railfans are stopped along the highway waiting for our climb to the top.
We begin to turn East at COXO and cross over Wolf Creek again
We begin our steep 4% grade climb and both engines are working hard.
We make our climb over Windy Point summit

OK, now where was i, Oh Yes, just reaching Windy Point summit. Shortly afterwards we cross the old Highway 17 bridge.
and pull into Cumbres Depot at the summit of Cumbres Pass.
We stop for Water and you can see that Lisa is right on top of the action being in the first passenger car.
In the mean time I'm in the back of the train where I can see the Depot on the right and the Water Standpipe on the left.
