I have been interested in and active in model railroading for over 50 years. Up to 1989 my interest was 3 Rail O Gauge, having received my first Lionel Train at 5 years old. I have been a Lionel and other brand O gauge collector for many years.
I got into G gauge when LGB made their first Christmas Set in 1990. I purchased one as my first grand son was born that year, and I set it up around our tree. Next came the LGB 2018 Red and Green Mogel and several D&RGW Passenger cars. I still have these sets today, and they run great.
When I retired in 1994 I got involved with a chain of Steakhouse Restraurants that ran a G gauge train on an over-head system in over 25 locations. I started as a service contractor, but that grea to sales, service and installations as the chain grew bigger. I became a USA and Aristo-craft Trains Dealer as I was selling many trains and track to keep these trains running 10 hours a day.
I retired from that business in late 2007, and started selling trains on eBay and at local train shows, and to local model railroaders. I also design and sell G Gauge trains for local Garden Railroads. I am slowing selling most of my O Gauge collection.
