How do I know the scale?

  • I bought LOTS of old trains today and I have no idea how to tell the scale!! Any help would be appreciated!!

  • The easiest way is to measure between the backs of the wheels, known as the back-to-back dimension. Then go to the chart on the NMRA Standards page, linked below, and find the measurement under column B.
