HO scale push / pull tug boat scratch build
Posted by dragonriversteel on Thursday, April 6, 2006 5:44 AM
Hello all,

After searching e-bay for some time now , and getting out bid on Walthers tug boat kit { sometimes these kits go for $80 to $120 }. I'm fed up with trying to get my hands on one......so i'll scratch build one.

The walthers tug boats are more 40's and 50's era anyway, I thought about a modern tractor tug or river tug. Haven't quite made up my mind on which way to go as of yet.

I thinking of a small river tug , scaled to about 40' in lenth ,with a width of 20'. Three story crows nest cabin and all the details to go with it. Started tug ,last night and will post pics as soon as completed.

Also still thinking about how to add an E-crane to the dock , this e-crane project is gonna be a hard one....all scratch built.
