Hi Ron, the answer to your question is WAY TOO MANY. Part of why I have so many posts is I subscribe to 3 of the magazines, so I am active on 3 forums. The other thing is that I don't work for a living in the traditional sense. Those two things give me motive and opportunity. I happen to be number 5 on the all time post list, but moving up fast.

Some of my posts involve opinion, others are made trying to share information and answer questions, and some are just simply for fun. One way that the post count just flys along is by getting involved in a conversation. Suddenly posts come in clumps of 3 or 4 at a time. Also, in the process you get to know people and make friends (or in a few rare cases enemies).

I have actually exchanged emails with most of the people who have responded to this topic up to this point. I do get around.[:D][8D]

Hello, everyone. Lately I've been working on a small diorama depicting a scene near Sherman Hill. It measures about 11" x 12". Not very large, but I've managed to cram some near rock work in it. I've always wanted to try modeling Wyoming scenery.

The diorama will be used to display small locomotives and freight cars. Just thought I'd tell ya'll. [:)]

Hey Ya'll, Which is good Southern for hello to everyone. I think this is a great idea. I love coffee and getting to know the folks on these forums better will be good. I've just gooten started on the last major revision on my layout, increasing curve radius and frog numbers. I enjoy trackwork, but I'm really looking forward to getting it done and getting back to building scenery and other parts of the hobby. It will take a while though because it's springtime in the mountains and it's hard to stay inside when it's so beautiful outside.

Oh man I couldn't believe it when I read it, someone else who really knows how to make great NAVY COFFEE, NAAAAA, so to the profile I go, YA , he's old enough to know. I haven't had coffee like that since the old "LEX" in the gulf of Mexico back in 1966/67, when I was attached to VT25 out of Beeville Texas. Back then we flew F-9 Cougars and used the old "LEX" for bounce practice and Carrier Qual's. Some of the best chow I ever had in the Navy. Hey LUPO, you would have had a blast on board, they really served grits and scrapple at breakfast and beyond a doubt, some of the best coffee I ever had. Well now, I am home from work. I don't want any coffee right now. I have to get my morning nap in before I start the day, if I am lucky the dog will let me sleep to 8 am, and if I am not lucky I will be up before that. I won't get in bed till about 230am. It takes times to wind down and be ready to go to sleep.

But come 8 am I will definately be ready for a cup of Joe. (Better make that about 4 or 5 cups of Joe.) Until then, talk to you all later.

As a displaced Brit I now imbibe the North American style brew and use the get-up-and-go for morning use or staying up late.

I do remember my Mum making a night time drink from Camp brand coffee/chicory essence and hot milk.

Well Duchess Von Levy decided I should be up early and started pestering me just before 7 am. (Anyone want a Doberman?) So I got a little over 4 hours sleep. The coffee is on and ready and I am drinking it now. The good thing today is it is Friday and the bad thing about today is I have to work tomorrow (Saturday) night (again). Hey, I was off today after a very long 10 day run and did something that I never do, stayed in bed until 1130am. I'm almost always up by 9am on days off or weekends and never later than 930am. Just really tired I guess. That happens when you get older.

Hi y'all--thought I'd drop in for a chat. Not a coffee drinker (love the smell, but I don't care for the taste), my caffeine comes from Diet Dr. Pepper.

Just a quick story, when I was in the AFRES, the 1st Sergeant told me to make a pot of coffee. Not knowing, I filled the filter with coffee and proceeded about my business. Never was ordered or even asked to make coffee again!!
