I believe that they are 2mm

I don't know the size, but they are tiny and easily lost.  Luckily I had two junked turnouts and I could use the screws from them to replace the ones I lost.

There must be some physical law at work there.  I can drop that screw, and it will never be seen again -- like it fell into a different dimension or something.
