I foound this track plan originally by D. Popp(Feb. 2011) and modified by Byron Henderson(layoutvision.com).I made some further modifications to match what I wanted.Please Note I would use only one of the turntables, I'm just showing the two possible locations. The top is 8 ft wide and the left leg is 10 ft long and 4ft wide at the bottom and the right leg is 13 ft. long and 20 inches wide.

Don't bother clicking on it, this is as big as it gets.
The bottom left loop is a reversing loop. In the right loop I can't be sure what are crossings and what are turnouts.
Since there are no links to Popp's plan or Bryon's plan I have no comment on any modifications. However Byron is on the forum and I expect he will be along shortly.

Byron...stage name Cuyama here on the forum...did a real nice job with that plan. Its one of my favorites as the 4 x 8 alternative.
I think scenicly, the little runaround and industry on the left might make things a bit crowded with the turntable. If that wasn't there, I'd say the turntable fits more naturally in the loop. It eats up a lot of real estate on the right.
But think about operations too, where turning the loco is more of a necessity. That might help you decide on the proper location.
Would also like to hear Byron's thoughts.
Edit: If you could tuck the upper curve that heads into the right side yard more towards the wall, you might have enough space to put the turntable there just above the tunnel portal, then the engine tracks back towards the yard, more parallel to the other tracks, for a more linear fit. The yard tracks would be much longer and more useful.
If they both fit, and I think they could, no reason you couldn't have two.

Thanks for posting the layout schematic. It appears that the loops are too difficult to reach. Am I the only one who thinks that? Speaking of, what is the radii of the loops?

There are suppose to be access hatches in the loops. OP preserved the space for the hatch/open area in the top loop, but covered it with the TT in the lower loop.
However, if the siding and spur was removed from the back side, there would be little need to access track along the wall.

Where are the exterior walls and aisles. I ask because you will need to reach in to work on, retrieve, etc. Normal reach is considered to be 30" and that depends on the height of the layout as well as the operators actual height and reach. If you can get to both sides of a 4' surface, you should be alright. Mock up something at the height you are palanning and see how far you can reach. It also makes a difference what type of scenery you have, are you reaching over trees and buildings or is it a flat relatively tall scenery free space?

This is the plan I started with. The loop on the left has access on 2 sides, the right side loop I'm hoping to maintain the access cutout. Those are both 22". I was hoping to squueze 24" radius in there but don't think I can.
