Unlike previous Amtrak "reform" proposals, this one was produced by professional transportation planners, not political appointees or activist groups. Their vision map and cost estimates can be found in the 4 page executive summary. A more detailed 80 page report and a 2 page press release are also available. It appears to be the first step in what I have long advocated: a coordinated planning process. Note to Samantha: this may be more to your liking than what NARP has offered. Though less extensive than NARP's proposed route map, this proposal contains a number of similarities.
