<p>I missed a key point re: the losses incurred by the Heartland Flyer and the combined Amtrak/state support required in FY14.</p> <p>Ticket revenues were approximately $2 million in FY14 and expenses were approximately $9.2 million, leaving a deficit of $7.2 million, which would have been covered by the states and Amtrak. These numbers get close to the numbers reported in the Gazzette. </p>
