Chicago Metropolitan Lounge
Posted by Deggesty on Friday, December 20, 2013 10:02 AM

After reading about the Los Angeles Metropolitan Lounge, I remembered a dislike about the lounge in Chicago. When it is time for first class passengers to board, they are taken out of the lounge through the lounge's east door--right out by the run through tracks, and have to walk (of course, those who are unable to walk the distance go out the front door of the lounge and ride to their cars) in the outdoors, under cover, past the station to their trains.

I wonder how it will be after the planned remodeling is done.

Also, it used to be possible to take a taxi or get out of a taxi under cover, but now the taxis stay on the street.

If I remember correctly, the new Metropolitan Lounge will be where the commuter ticketing area now is. That will make for quite a hike to the trains, if I am correct.
