<p>Here is the posting from Amtrak's web site:</p> <p><span> </span></p> <h4>City of New Orleans, Crescent and Sunset Limited</h4> <p>September 3, 2011</p> <p>5:45 CDT</p> <p><br />Amtrak services on three routes traveling to the Southern U.S. are affected by current and predicted flooding in association with Tropical Storm Lee and the resulting closure of routes used by Amtrak and owned by CN, Norfolk Southern and the New Orleans Public Belt railroads. Passengers with travel plans on these routes are urged to call 800-USA-RAIL for additional information.</p> <p>The following service disruptions have been made for the origination dates of Sept. 3 through Sept. 5:</p> <p>City of New Orleans (Trains 58 & 59), Chicago – New Orleans</p> <p>Amtrak will operate service only between Chicago and Memphis for Train 59 on Sept. 3 and Sept. 4 and Train 58 on Sept. 4 and Sept. 5. Train service is temporarily suspended south of Memphis. Alternate transportation will be provided only for station stops Jackson, Miss. and Memphis.</p> <p>Crescent (Trains 19 & 20), New York – New Orleans</p> <p>Amtrak will operate service only between New York and Atlanta for Train 19 on Sept. 3 and Train 20 originating on Sept. 4. No alternate transportation is available between Atlanta and New Orleans.</p> <p>Sunset Limited (Trains 1 & 2), Los Angeles – New Orleans</p> <p>Amtrak will operate service only between Los Angeles and San Antonio for Train 2 that originated on Sept. 2 and Train 1 from San Antonio on Sept. 4. No alternate transportation is available between San Antonio and New Orleans.</p> <p>Passengers who have paid for travel on canceled trains can contact Amtrak to receive refunds without fee or penalty or can re-book for future travel. If tickets have not yet been printed, the refund/rebook can be done on Amtrak.com or the free Amtrak iPhone “app.”</p> <p>Amtrak regrets any inconvenience. This information is correct as of the above time and date. Information is subject to change as conditions warrant. Passengers are encouraged to call 800-USA-RAIL or visit Amtrak.com for schedule information and train status updates</p> <p> </p>
