Two weeks ago today I took a Keystone train from Penn Station, New York, to Harrisburg.  The loco that pulled the train to 30th Street Station was cut off and a new loco was added to the back of the train, which then became the front of the train for the run to Harrisburg.  The seats in the coaches were bi-directional.  That is to say, half the seats faced one way and the other half faced the other way.  Thus, from New York to Philadelphia, I rode backwards.  From Philadelphia to Harrisburg I faced forward.  There is no food service on the Keystones.  However, it is permissible to bring food on the train.  At least half the passengers were enjoying their morning coffee and a pastry.
