I have been tracking the performance of the Texas Eagle (21 and 22).  Since the first of the year Number 21 has been late into Fort Worth, on average, by 52 minutes.  It has been late, on average, by 54 minutes into San Antonio.  The median is 25 and 35 minutes.  Number 21 has been on time or less than 20 minutes late at Fort Worth approximately 18 per cent of the time.    It has been on time or less than 20 minutes late at San Antonio approximately seven per cent of the time.  Number 22 has been late, on average, by 37 minutes into Fort Worth.  The median is 29 minutes.  It has been on time or less than 20 minutes late only two per cent of the time. If you take 21 to San Antonio, don't plan to arrive on time.  But unless you hit an unusual delay, you should be no more than an hour or so late.  It is relatively rare for the train to arrive after midnight, although it happens from time to time.
