Now that this has been thought about a little bit, I will come to why I asked this question: The possibilites that we could have with high-speed rail is infinate, and money and attention are the only real barriers to it. If some money could just magically appear, we could do all of these options. But there is a possible source of money: Congress. If you and your district can get enough signatures, your district could try to petition for high-speed rail in your area. It's always been possible, there just needs to be a real strive for it. The end.
